Music has power over our bodies, but this goes both ways. These pieces have been created in close collaboration with choreographer and dancers. A trademark for Komlava’s work is an organic basis. Through her more experimental productions you find sound material gathered mostly from our surroundings, connected to themes of different performances. Acoustic instruments are also an essential part of her soundscapes, as evocative compositions, and they stretch out in different directions within a folktronic genre. The result is an extensive universe which contains the passionate, peaceful and playful, as well as stress, unease and anxiety.
